Secret Hayagriva is a wrathful form of the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), belonging to the Anutarayogatantra class of Buddhist Vajrayana also known as the Highest Yoga Tantra. This particular Meditation deity (Yidam) is practiced to relieve sentient beings from the sufferings and harm of sickness, obstacles, obscurations, harm from outer beings, as well as helping to progress the vajrayana path all the way to enlightenment.
