Land of Medicine Buddha Media Lab The Media Lab is a project of Land of Medicine Buddha, a non-profit Tibetan Buddhist Dharma Center, which is a member of the FPMT (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition). The purpose of Media Lab is to make the Buddhist teachings available to students everywhere. We digitally record, archive and distribute the Tibetan Buddhist Dharma teachings particularly at Land of Medicine Buddha. These are made available as Digital Video Discs (DVD) for televisions, computers, or other media players as well as MP3 (Audio only) files. Currently we have teachings by: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche, Kyabje Ribur Rinpoche, Venerable Choden Rinpoche, Yangsi Rinpoche, Venerable Robina Courtin, Venerable Rene Feusi, Venerable George Churinoff, Venerable Sara Thresher, Venerable Sangye Khandro, and Jonathan Landaw. In 2005 the Media Lab distributed over 800 DVD sets to students from countries all over the world. The DVD and CD sets are “invited to people’s homes for a suggested donation”. This is different than selling because we have a commitment not to sell holy Dharma objects and there is no intention to make a profit. In fact it is not possible to make a profit with this project because of the high costs of running the project and the low numbers of “Donations”. If there was ever any profit in the future, it would only ever be used to expand the reach, scope, and capacity of the Media Lab (so that it could offer more Dharma to more people). The positive karma of offering the Dharma is inconceivable. By financially supporting the Media Lab so that it can operate and make the Dharma available to the world is like buying a winning lottery ticket! When you support the Media Lab there is no doubt if you got a winning ticket or not – the benefits to sentient beings are immediate and extend into future lives up to enlightenment! You are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to create such enormous merit! By offering the dharma in this way, we offer ultimate happiness to all sentient beings: liberation and enlightenment by providing the conditions necessary for Dharma to spread.
